What is Four-way Stretch Fabric? How is it Processed?
Four-way stretch fabric is a fabric with a certain elasticity. It can adapt to the movement of the human body, stretch and shrink, light and comfortable, and can also maintain the beautiful appearance of the clothing, so that the knees, elbows and other parts of the clothes will not be deformed and bulged due to long-term wearing.
Organizational Structure
Spandex stretch yarn is usually used to give fabrics a certain degree of elasticity. The stretch fabrics containing spandex yarn are divided into warp stretch, weft stretch and warp and weft bi-directional stretch. The 24-way stretch fabric is both warp and weft bi-directional stretch, and the general elastic elongation is 10%-15%, and the spandex content in the fabric is about 3%.
Processing methods
The method usually used for four-way stretch is to add spandex elastic yarn into the fabric, firstly combine the yarn with spandex covered yarn and twist it to make elastic yarn. The feeding length of both yarns must be controlled separately to control the elasticity of the finished yarn. In the manufacturing and finishing process, the elongation of yarn and fabric must be controlled to control the elasticity of the finished product.
Spandex stretch yarn
Spandex stretch yarn has the stretching characteristics of rubber yarn, with a breaking elongation of up to 500%, and can immediately recover to its original length after the external force is released.
There are three types of yarns: single-layer or double-layer covered yarn, leather-velvet yarn or leather-core plied yarn. Single-layer or double-layer covered yarn is more convenient to use.
