Softshell is a kind of fabric with elasticity on all sides, and its composition is mainly elastane + polyester.

The production of softshell weaving is divided into single warp beam and double warp beam two kinds of structures

Single warp beam weaving is relatively simple and can be accomplished with the help of an ordinary loom. However, there are limitations, the resulting fabric shrinkage rate is not stable, the straight shrinkage amplitude is larger, and the requirements in the finishing process are strict

Double warp beam weaving technology needs to be used to professional double warp beam equipment, double warp beam loom has two warp beam system, two warp beam yarn count, organization and arrangement of free matching and combination, the equipment can be finely adjusted to the tension of the two warp yarn system, the fabric more stable shrinkage rate.

Advantages of softshell:

It has good elasticity, and will be used more in women's clothing, sportswear and bottoms. The fabric is wear-resistant and not easy to leave wrinkles, and the price will be cheaper than cotton, belonging to a more cost-effective class of fabrics.

Disadvantages of softshell:

Its main defects of color fastness is relatively general, dark colors of the four-sided elastic in the washing of the phenomenon of fading easily.

The general method of four-sided elasticity is to add spandex elastic filaments to the fabric, and then merge the yarn with spandex-covered yarn to make elastic yarn, and control the two feeding lengths separately to control the size of the yarn elasticity.

Spandex elastic yarn has the stretching characteristics of rubber yarn, its elongation at break can be up to 500%, and it can be restored to its original state immediately after releasing the external force.
